Koalas at risk

A beloved心愛的 symbol of Australia.

Koalas have been listed as a threatened威脅 species物種 in some parts of the country after a plunge跳進 in the wild population野生群種.

Habitat棲息地 loss喪失, urban expansion城市擴張, vehicle strikes車輛碰撞, dog attacks and disease have contributed有助於 to their dwindling萎縮 numbers.

Estimates on koala numbers vary but some studies suggest there are fewer than 80,000 koalas left in the wild.
